Earthquakes don’t kill people, Buildings do!

Peter Haas with AIDG was asked to present at a TED conference. He told the story of poor quality construction methods and exposed the problems associated with concrete production in Haiti.

This message was personal to him, as his wife was in Haiti during the quake and he had lost contact with her immediately following the event. For a short period of time Peter felt the horror that hundreds of thousands are still feeling today.

Peter and his family were lucky that day. He joins with the many other voices that testify that Earthquakes don’t kill people, but buildings do…

Spend some time to listen to this story of poor engineering and construction, from a guy knows first hand.

Thanks to the Telgram for the image
